Alright. I started by learning how to create social media posts using Canva, such as Facebook covers, YouTube thumbnails, and Instagram carousels. I then offered my design services by creating a profile on Fiverr and Upwork.
And people actually paid for Canva designs.
You’d be surprised. Coaches, influencers, and small businesses all require frequent posts. The majority of them lack time or are not skilled in design. Here’s where we can help.
So, what did I initially charge?
I initially charged ₹300 for three Instagram posts. However, after receiving positive feedback and honing my craft, I began charging ₹1,000 for every five posts. These days, some clients spend ₹5,000 a month on social media content alone.

Good question. Then it is best to sell Canva templates. You create something once, such as business cards, Instagram templates, or resumes, and then sell it on Gumroad or Etsy.

Exactly! I made about ₹8,000 in a month after posting ten templates to Etsy. No deadlines, no clients. Simply upload and spread the word.

Yes, there is a nominal listing fee, but it is well worth the money. You can also start selling on Gumroad for free. You simply need to use YouTube, Pinterest, or Instagram to increase traffic.
I find that fascinating. What if you feel a little uneasy about showing your face on camera? You do not need to! It even works with anonymous YouTube channels. You can use screen captures or voiceover to create Canva tutorial videos. Additionally, you can teach novices how to use Canva.
Wait, like making a course?
Yup! You can record a basic Canva course that teaches you how to create social media posts, resumes, and thumbnails. Upload it to your website or sell it on Udemy. Or charge ₹499 or ₹999 for live Zoom workshops. It seems like a good plan, my friend.
But how long did it take me to reach a monthly income of ₹30,000?
About 3–4 months for me. However, I was simultaneously working as a freelancer, selling templates, and teaching. If you remain consistent, it will not be too difficult.
And how long do I spend every day?
Three to four hours a day. In the evenings, I work with clients, plan social media posts, and create templates in bulk. After you learn how to do it, you can also automate a lot of things.
